Since the beginning of his career, Joseph Bonacore has received critical acclaim for his signature progressive Italian cuisine. At Tuscany, Joseph received 3 stars from Newsday. After he opened SOLE, he received one of the highest food ratings on Long Island from ZAGAT, an outstanding 26! His style is built on bold flavors and unexpected combinations, with a deep history in classic Italian techniques. Joseph’s creative cooking spirit has led him to open the Lawson Pub, a hip, contemporary space with Joseph’s take on casual soul-satisfying food that appeals to all ages. Joseph worked at the original Lawson Pub in the seventies. Today, however, with reinvention on his mind, the menu consists of a playful array of culinary options, from old Lawson Pub classics, like bold burgers, filet mignon tid-bits to Joseph’s innovative fish dishes, such as pan roasted branzino with multigrain risotto, spice-crusted tuna with a vegetable wakame slaw, and a wonderful selection of innovative salads. To top off the meal, mini-indulgences (small desserts) are offered so one can have all the pleasure without the guilt.
